Fulfilling Tabler’s Promise – Brambles, Willow Trees and Sheep

Each year we auction a day of our members’ labour at our annual Speaker Evening event. After fetching £300 for the Lot at our 2024 event, the winner briefly mentioned he would have some brambles and branches to clear in Spring 2025.

Armed with rusty gardening tools and some questionable gloves, eight of us arrived only to look upon a small forrest. Undeterred by what lay ahead, we lathered on the sun lotion and bug spray.

Pictured below is a selection of images from the day (Saturday 10th May, 2025). Needless to say, a great time was had by all… followed by a refreshing and very well-deserved pint!!
