Charity Gala Dinner 2024

We are very pleased to announce details of our annual black-tie gala dinner, raising funds for Samaritans of Taunton and Somerset and Taunton Round Table.

Taunton Round Table is pleased to announce that Warwick Davis will be our new after-dinner speaker for the event on Friday 1st November 2024. Warwick is stepping in as a replacement for Phil Tufnell, who unfortunately had to cancel his appearance due to unforeseen circumstances.

We are thrilled to welcome Warwick, whose remarkable career spans Hollywood blockbusters including Star Wars and Harry Potter, acclaimed comedies with Ricky Gervais, and the establishment of his own theatre company for short actors. Warwick’s inspiring journey and charismatic storytelling promise to make this an unforgettable evening for all attendees.

Our guest speaker is once again being sponsored by Milsted Langdon Chartered Accountants, and we are grateful to them for their continued support.

This year we are supporting Samaritans of Taunton and Somerset. Funds from our event will be used to permanently increase their branch capacity significantly, improve accessibility, and increase the diversity of their listening volunteers. Their branch in Wood Street is a converted two-bedroom terraced house and they would love to optimise their limited space to create a second operations room.

And to conclude the evening, our charity auction will take place. This year we have a number of outstanding lots ranging from gliding to a two-week holiday.
